it shows love.. it shows faith that fades away this song is for the only guy ive ever loved. he was my first love when i was 10.. we grew up together... but then ive been moving around so much through out the years that things never seem to work for us. i see him move on as i still think of him while im away. the sad part is that when i do see him.. whenever im home.... i can tell by the way he sees me that there is "still way for us"... everyone that knows us and our story knows. maybe i havent given up yet. i feel like i might have to someday.. but not yet. or maybe.. surprised there arent any more comments on this one... anyways.. i think this song isnt confusing at all.. the only part that people may have doubts on is the "shes not anyone part".. these few words make the song... i think that when he says "shes not anyone" he is saying that.. she is someone... obviously someone important. shes not just anyone... |

MEANINGLESS? are u kidding me.. dude u gotta hang out on this website more often or something.. anyways.. abstraction is one thing and lack of meaning is another. i agree about this song being nostalgic, and it talks about the past (bones... ) sinking like stones might mean that the past that was already old is now so ancient that its sinking and being forgotten. thats my personal interpretation... but i think there may be many others. |

some songs are just not meant to be put apart and understood. i think this is one of them. its such a powerful song that it cannot be broken down into logic. feelings are illogical.. love is illogical, as is despair... and any other truly intense feelings. this song is a combination of everything. it is meant to speak to the soul, and what the soul feels cannot be explained. this is also why so many people can easily relate to it and many other damian songs. it is abstraction... and i love it ps- not really related to the song.. i just wanted to say that what i admire most about damian is how he writes for himself. |
