this is a direct quote from daniel johns about the song "I saw on SBS once this documentary about a poor guy that takes a rich guy to a poor persons' hotel to experience what it's like being a poor person and that. And the rich guy is complaining to get out and that, and he has to wait 'til tomorrow to get out of the hotel and that." he writes songs about things he experiences have a good look at the timeline of his lyrics and the events that happened around the world and in his life. |

steve you're alright :) and your point was pretty acurate in think it has somethig to do with the process of growing up and out of the "shell" of childhood feels like your fighting against everyone, including yourself. The title is metaphorical of a cicada's metamorphosis. |

First of all to agree with your opinion on the meaning drifting, however if you owned any of the cds you would have acknowledged the fine print "...this technology ' corrects' notes that are sung or played out of tune and has become increasingly popular in recent years. Silverchair choose not to use this computer software on their albums as it's their personal belief that such artificial perfection deminishes music." and at that stage of '15' years of age they did not perform live to avoid media confrontation. and they did NOT SUCK LIVE!!! |
