Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics

Wow I'm surprised that this song has more comments then Stairway to Heaven...there's a huge difference between the two. American Idiot is some punk griping about his country, while Stairway to Heaven focuses on the smaller more important aspects of life. Who cares if the media is controlling America it's not like there's anything you can do about it. You can only change one life at a time. And you might as well start on your own if you think this song is good. |

Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics

Yeah Led Zeppelin rocks. I like to see this song as the blueprint for Heavy Metal. Any band who would try to cover this song would porbably be booed of the stage. It makes this song very sacred and it is often refered to as the National Anthem of Rock N Roll. |

This song seems really hard to play, but once you get used to the finger picking it's kinda easy. I wrote a Drum and Bass line for the song. It sounds freakin awesome. |

This song really screwed me up. I've was fighting a mental illness (You can't really win) a couple of years ago. Well it was schizophrenia. I was alway curious about this album for awhile. After I heard the album I completely lost it. Since then I've learned how to ignore it, but I'm betting if I heard the album again, It would screw me over. |

Dream Theater – I Walk Beside You Lyrics

Yeah U2 was the first thing that came to mind when I heard this. This has to be the simplest Dream theater song I've ever heard, but I feel like it's a nice sidestep on the album. The lyrics helped me save someone's life. My ex-girlfriend's Grand mother was shot and killed. She was on the brink of suicide. I gave her these lyrics in an E-mail. It really helped her out.... |

Led Zeppelin – No Quarter Lyrics

The song's mood is incredibly mysterious. It has a kind of cynical tone to it when Plant says "The Devil Mocks their every step" While Zeppelin usually writes songs that reflect them as a band this song also has a universal message. It's message is for those who sacrifice themselves in order to help others, expect nothing in return. These people live a life full of obstacles with "the devil mocking their every step." |

Led Zeppelin – Babe I'm Gonna Leave You Lyrics

I'm not sure who wrote what, but man this song has Led Zeppelin written all over it. This is by far my favorite song to play with my band. I just like how it switches between soft and heavy. Despite the acoustic guitar approach the lyrics take a bluesy turn. Every blues song has a guy crying about a girl leaving him or a he leaving a girl. I think it's an interesting approach. The guitar tends to have a Spanish voice to it a points in the song. |

Led Zeppelin – Achilles Last Stand Lyrics

This song is freakin insane. Me and my friends use six guitars to imitate the song. Page really went crazy with the tracks for this one. But yeah this song, not Kashmir, is the culmination point of what Led Zeppelin stands for. It has Page's Wailing guitars, Bonzo's Thunderous drums, Jones's mastery of orchestration, and Plant's ominous vocals, combined with their signature mysticism. |
