Panic! at the Disco – There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet Lyrics 20 years ago
Blind Sinner is right, the alter ego of Tyler Durden has no name. He is x male or narrator, even IMDB says so, and IMDB is pretty accurate. IDK why they come up with jack in the subtitles, other than its a nickname for an unknown male. You say "Hey Jack!" Kind of like Mack or Lady. But yeah he has no name!

Panic! at the Disco – Build God, Then We'll Talk Lyrics 20 years ago
Perhaps Panic! At the Disco meant for their lyric's to be like Phoebe's "Smelly Cat" song on friends, oh i am also attaching the appropriate sound of music lyrics to prove the whole spin from sound of music, not fight club. (love both, just want to give Panic! props for liking musicals.

Sound of Music Lyrics - My Favorite Things Lyrics

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleighbells
And schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winter that melts into spring
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel...so bad

(written 1959)

Panic! at the Disco – Build God, Then We'll Talk Lyrics 20 years ago
krishnaaaaa, "Raindrops on Roses" is most definetely not originally from fight club. Chuck Palahniuk was born in 1962, and Rodgers and Hammerstein most definetely coined "Raindrops on Roses" for the Sound of Music's song "My favorite things" (Written in 1959). Chuck probably borrowed it from there, it was and still is a very popular film about going against what is easy to do what is right. Just thought you'd like the background.

Panic! at the Disco – There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with SinicallySerious, I think that this song is not necessarily about revenge. I also agree with SS in the Great Gatsby feel, that is immediately what I thought of as well. I think that by making wealthy people wearing their best leaving their beloved accessories at the door will make them feel under dressed, just like the song says. For whatever reason, I picture the lead singer wearing a brightly colored Zoot Suit (popular in the Latino and African American Population during the 30s and 40s). But on the other hand, by him throwing this party for the rich and then stripping them of their luxuries, make them uncomfortable, and he's the new cancer because he is making them nervous, a lot like cancer would. He looks good, but everyone else is really nervous. He's not necessarily being the belle of the ball, because being surreptitious means lurking and being more of a wall flower, which is why he easily spiked the punch. I also agree with SS that he might have thrown this party for a special woman, but to embarass her and her friends and their uppity ways.

Panic! at the Disco – I Constantly Thank God For Esteban Lyrics 20 years ago
All the religious references sounds like the song writer / band may come from a strict christian back ground, probably catholic, as "give us this day" is said right after the our father prayer in a catholic (or orthodox) mass only. Forked tongues also refers to the devil. Something tells me this is not necessarily a mistake. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're religious people, just raised in that atmosphere.

Panic! at the Disco – Intermission Lyrics 20 years ago
Just want to say that I really love the layout of the CD, I think its very aesthetically pleasing to listen to, especially with the way many of the songs flow right into another, making me less likely to hit the next button and instead listen to the whole album, a sneaky but very smart move, LOVE IT!

Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics 20 years ago
I first heard Time to Dance from a friend who saw them with the nintendo fusion tour and fall out boy. Um, I'm in love with this band and cd, but some people are missing two important harlequin definitions.

Harlequin women are not fools themselves, but rather want to be saved by men. Harlequin girls in the song, I believe to be the same as harlequin women. And harlequin men can also be a sexualize character who has a sort of casanovaish side to him.

With that said, I pick up on a tinge of jealousy in the singers voice. I agree this is about a girl who either cheated or ended what seemed to be a good relationship and is now involved in a teenage one night stand, as he's talking about having sex in the front seat of a car. Love this song though!
