| Led Zeppelin – Gallows Pole Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think the hangman is the only person in the right here (though I suppose the his friends didn't do anything). Think about it, he's obviously being hanged for something, probably murder, his brother tried to bribe the hangman, and his sister prostetuted herself out. The hangman was the only guy actually doing the right thing, convicting a guilty man. | |

| The Presidents of the United States of America – Lump Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| A random thought came to me while listening to this song. Maybe he's talking about a lump in his head? like a tumor. Doesn't pertain to any other part of the song other than "Is this lump out of my head?", but its still interesting. | |

| I think it's about satisfaction, or the lack there of. He did this great thing and everyone showed up for it, but he has nothing to show for it; it's all "paper thin". Not to mention that it's been trampled on and "smashed into the rug". Thats just the general idea, I have no clue on specifics. I was never quite sure what PUSA was trying to say in their lyrics | |
| 50 Cent – 21 Questions Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Rock and Rap are in a neverending war. And those who plea for peace will be trampled under the feet of the coming armies. Me, I'd rather be on the side with a Stairway to Heaven than A Candy Shop with Laffy Taffy in it. | |
| The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Just to clarify: I think that the term " seven nation army" is said to exaggerate how strong he feels about whatever the song is about. Now it's pretty impressive to fight off an army of any size, but the seven nation army obviously refers to the army of Isreal. Also the fact that he thought the salvation army was called the seven nation army only strengthens my claim, not weakens. For you see, salvation is what christ offers, isn't it. A nice play on words on his part. | |

| First of all Dancachik1717, you can't escape this kind of music. It seeks you out like a hound, then rips your brain out. From people that blast it from their car speakers to the idiot that annoy everyone on the bus, there is no way out. I hate this music! | |

| Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Obviously it is about Plant's corruption to the Devil and asking God for forgiveness. He said he will never be saved and he was a shaggy fool. This song is definitely religious. P.S. This is not backmasking. This is actually how the words sound if they are played backwards. You can try it yourself; Say "And she's buying a stairway to heaven" into voice recorder and reverse it. It very clearly says "Hear why it's sung here oppositioner" |

Hey for all you fools that don't believe there is backwards messages on this song.... You're right. . . . . . . . There's an entire freakin' song. Here it is, see for yourself. Plaaaay backwards, Hear why its sung here, oppositioner.. All on track, all arriving They all sing, and they are one. Shall I loathe you now, parishoner? Oh hear Him, Christian within me. It stirs my sin, the river, Oh, she swells with our lousiness. will all life end for him? We're all out of signs, I know I'm sorta shocked To hear The Lord, My God now will save me! Oh I will never be saved, Because I live with Satan! One wish today, That you'll all pray for Three who will make it here late. Pray now and you'll see, The 'Lord' turned me on, But, oh, I was the shaggy fool.. Clothed in agony, Lost at a height. There's no escaping it, Nor his woes.. So here's to my Sweet Satan. Whose little path Would make me sad, Whose power is satan. He'll give those with him 666. And there was an evil toolshed, were he made us suffer sad-ly Ohohohoh... "Family won't get loose, They're offered me." Always soothes the worker. Always will be as we know now "I see ruins," said he, "the world they offered me? Who wished the Lord's fall?" If we lose feather, Say you'll save me! And no wimps can bend the rules.. And no wimps can do.. Hunt next to the shore, 'Cause they see all from there, See here's the news, Who walks with mute grief! Perhaps no-one found thee... "Heaven, lift me out," Spake the Rave, "Someday, failed, we'll lose one line-up, They've gotta leave forsaken." And no wimps can do.. And no wimps can do... He, who say the lords Thoth have our laws, that must be superb. Mass is ended.. Over there, He who should learn thee. Any moot that serves by my sworn music, I wish it with snow be shushed, All for my mass's sake. Hear why its sung, here, oppositioner, Ohh.. He who should show May make his show worthy, To look, for us, odd.. sickly, There's one chance, take his show. Hold thy head, Hear why its sung here. oppositioner. Who owns this earth built below? Oh sweet Israel... |

I think your all looking at this song the wrong way. It isn't written from Bilbo's, Gollum's, Frodo's, or even Sauron's veiwpoint. I think it is written from the view of the Ring itself. The first verse is about it's departure from Rivendell, and the part about the rain is about how it doesn't want to go becuase they are going to destroy it. However, it knows it must go if it wants to go back to Sauron. I think the Chorus is about it's voyage around the world. The 10 years is, as someone stated before, its journey with Frodo. And the Queen, as strange as it sounds, I believe is The Dark Lord Sauron, since he is a person of royalty. The third is difficult and I have no clue how it relates to LOTR. If someone could explain it using my theory, I would be much obliged. The next verse (Mine is a story that can't be told.... that one)is about ring's forging Mordor. The evil one is the king of Gondor, who killed Sauron (slipped away her...) The ring was then 'exchanged' to Gollum who took him even further from Sauron. The last verse is simply restating the voyage which the Ring is undergoing. |
