"...replacing Tom's mad guitar skills for Kim's more mellow guitar." You've got to be kidding me. More mellow guitar? Are we thinking of the same Kim Thayil here? |

It's definitely "sciatic nerve," not "side nerve." And oh yeah, it's a pretty good song, too. |

| I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me now. Great song. The lyrics are about Eddie's love for the sea and surfing... not exactly the deepest of PJ's lyrics, but the song isn't supposed to be deep, I guess. | |

| It's almost like Black, actually. | |
| Pearl Jam – I Got Shit (I Got Id) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I can eerily relate to this song at this point in my life. Seriously, almost line for line. But it's comforting to know that someone else felt this way at one time. | |

I know it's cliche, I know... but to me, this song is about a guy singing about a girl. He was lonely for so long, found someone, but it quickly went to hell. My thought is he found out something about the girl that made him hate her, or at least disrespect her. Now he needs to resist the temptation of her once again. He feels betrayed and angry, but beaten at the same time. It's hard to explain. I'm not quite as good as Ed is at getting my thoughts into words. :) But this is just my interpretation. Really, my interpretation is what it is because I feel exactly like I am the guy in the song. |

| Soundgarden – Loud Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| When the main riff starts playing, it reminds me of a train that starts rolling and doesn't stop until the end. Don't know why. Great song. | |
| Pearl Jam – Comatose Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's hard to grasp what he's getting at here. The song is awesomely reminiscent of other fast-paced rockers like "Blood" and "Spin the Black Circle," but the lyrics are much more out-there. I think it's just about how being in a coma is almost like being free from the burdens of the world (much like GNR's "Coma")... hence the "no fear of falling." | |

Great song. The meaning is pretty obvious- it's simply about losing someone, whether that be to death or just a lost relationship. But, man... garaloo's "high school dance" comment kinda ruins it for me, lol... |

| Soundgarden – Bleed Together Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Everything except the chorus reminds me of something I'd hear on Nirvana's "Nevermind." Good song though, but it seems kind of uncharacteristic of SG. | |
| Audioslave – Doesn't Remind Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I'm really not sure this song is supposed to be that happy... I think the tune is purposely upbeat to contrast the subject matter. It seems to me like he's trying to forget something really bad that happened to him, and resorts to doing different random things just to take his mind off it. No matter how you interpret this song, it amazes me that I actually like it... it seems like it would be too soft for my taste, but I find myself really enjoying it. |

This song is probably the most RATM-sounding song Audioslave has. Definitely one of their best. Like other people said, I think it's about a call to action. The verses are purposely vague (obviously to be left up to interpretation), but Christ and Martin Luther King Jr. are good bets on who Chris is singing about. Great song. |

| Audioslave – Be Yourself Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I can't believe Cornell went from writing songs like "4th of July" and "Blow Up the Outside World" to this. It's not a bad song... I suppose its actually kind of uplifting that Cornell found happiness. Either that, or he has just become a money-hungry softie. But I believe the former is probably correct. :) | |
| Guns N' Roses – Coma Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is amazing. Definitely one of my favorites. All the talking and sound effects are odd at first, but you learn to really like them. The riff is one of my favorites- its mean yet eerie at the same time... it perfectly fits the lyrics. And the last 2 minutes are so clever how every word just seems to blend into the next, capped off by a phenomenal, breathtaking finish that gives me goosebumps every time. | |
