To me, this song is very deep and hits home really hard. I believe this song is about two lovers. While it makes sense to think that the girl has been hurt by someone before (first verse) it doesnt mak sense in the rest of the song. I mean if she found her true love, she wouldnt be bleeding anymore. So....my interpretation is that this girl (or guy in my case) has found this "perfect" guy (or girl in my case). They think that he/she is so perfect and they fall maddly in love. Everything he/she does just seems so right, so perfect. Its like paradise. I believe it was the singers first sexual relationship (it would explain alot of the hurt) and they are just so blinded that they dnt even realize that their lover is "cutting them open" with hurtful words and actions. It make the singer "bleed" but he/she ignores it because they are blinded by first loves light. They feel they love them so much that they would take all the pain of the relationship just to be with this person. Basically, the singer is saying that seh would "bleed" to death just to be with this person. I understand this interpretation from personal experience and it really hits home for me. You never forget your first love and your never want it to end, no matter what. Life's tough. |

This song obviously is about the hardships of the modern American farmer. "The diesels worth the price of gold It's the cheapest grain he's ever sold But he's still holdin' on" It is becoming very hard to make a living with the high cost of equipment and low price of crops but still they sweat and toil because its their way of life and they know no different. These people really are owed a debt by everyone. Without them, we wouldn't have our market fresh food at the grocery, the canned corn or even soybean oil. we would be a culture without food. And even though it is one of the toughest jobs in the world they stick with it. God bless.... |
