im sick of people saying 'the meaning to this song is so obvious' and then not giving the meaning..but anyway.. i agree with innocent sheep mainly. except i thought it was more reverse physcology.. umm im not good at explaining this one. lets see.. he tryed doing all the right things in a relationship, loved her and didnt hurt her.. and he lost the girl. so he is saying if you do everything wrong and hurt her and do everything that your not supposed to..you must get the girl. he is jst saying his experiences and how he is learnt that being nice doesnt work.. so maybe being horrible is the way. |

ahh decessus.. wtf?? ill try and clear it up for you..but i think ur a bit past it? newhoo.. he doesnt want to say goodbye to either his EX GIRLFRIEND tht he is on the fone to, OR to his current gf, who is in 'the next room' regardless of which one it is, most likely both.. it still makes sense. he is saying that the contact with this ex girlfriend (the one on the phone) is making it HARD for him to be faithful to his current girlfriend. he is NOT havin an affair. this isnt directed at you no longer, it as at all the other ppl who thinkin he is cheating etc.. he never says he has cheated on his current girlfriend, and by the sounds of it, he isnt intending to cheat on her, ever. he is jst stating that she (ex girlfriend) is stirring up past emotions and he is still attached to her, makin it HARD for him to be faithful. |

| i think "your love will be the death of me" means something different. i think he knows that loving her is only going to end up hurting him so badly that he will end up dying because of it, or maybe even for her. it jst seems to tie in more with every other him song, which is most often about the evil in love. | |

i agree with surfryder about the meaning of this song. i also think it could be a negative thing that she turns to, hence the "dark" but it is also a "light" because for her it is a positive thing as she is able to be herself and be free from her troubles. ..that might not make sense.. but i know what im trying to explain =P and tapsatdawn ..shuldnt u enjoy music becuz it simply is good music.. not becuz of wat the singer looks like? you say you liked it.. but once you saw ville vallo you cant take it seriously? thats rather sad.. you dont have to like what he or HIM as a whole look like.. but it shouldnt alter your thoughts on the music. |

i dnt know if i get this song. to begin with i actaully thought that he killed her and is now watching her die. quiffporn is one of the funniest guys ever. i actually enjoy reading his comments even if he is totally slamming a band i like. he sure does have some really good points and great comebacks. i love how those comments have been going back and forth for nearly 3 years.. |

ill always love gc, i always hve an i always will. i hve spent alot of time defending them when people say they are crap, fake and wana be punk, when in reality they are just a pop band. but recently i have had to admit, that they cant be compared to alot of music, there is alot more rock music that is a hell of a lot better especially lyrically. this song is definitly not one of my favs but i still know every word and have listened to it countless times. i dont know what it is about GC i just cant forget them, as simple and over used as some of their songs are, i still love them, relate to them and they have definitly been with me for a long time.. they have represented me so i stil gota represent them. |

ive never thought about the motorcycle part. when i first heard it and listened to the lyrics i always assumed that it was about a guy who was stuck in a relationship that he didnt wana be in. while he was in this relationship he was spending time with another girl and thats why he had to leave when the morning came so he didnt get caught cheating. but now thinking about that could be quite wrong cuz i cant seem to tie the verses in or anything. but yea.. its just what i always think about when i hear it |
