To jaysonwho, where did you hear that? I haven't seen anything to the sort...if it's true, then that is horrible. But I sincerely hope it's not true because I love Cute. And I think that when they say Newport, it would be best to just assume it means a ritzy dramatic neighborhood. It could either be on the west or east coast. |

'And you want to be dressed in poetry but imagery doesn’t fit' I always took this as she wanted him to write really beautiful poetic lyrics about her, but it didn't work because he wasn't too good at expressing his true feelings. 'and you want resizing but darling dear get a grip' She wants to be a bigger part in his life but he doesn't think that it would work. By the way, the first few lines make me think of The O.C., in one of the first episodes because someone's grandfather tells him that he's quickwitted but not too good with the "skirts". |

Guy and girl break up. Guy and girl go to fancy party, where everyone is awkward. Guy is all confident and really over his ex, girl really looks like shit and the break up hasn't agreed with her. Girl hates that he is normal and fine. Everyone is whispering about her. Hah, that was lame. But yeah, thats basically what I think about it. Plus, the whole "I'm the new cancer" thing has several different meanings to it (For me). 1. He's the new cancer, like lung cancer, caused by cigarettes, which are addicting. Long story short: he/P!ATD is addictive. 2. In the sense that everyone knows about him/them, they are in the news, making headlines, becoming famous, etc. |

Ahh...this song makes me swoon. I love the singers (can't remember name at the moment) voice, especially during the chorus. It's haunting and chilly. This song is most likely about a break up over the girl cheating. /Well, then think of what you did And how I hope to God he was worth it/ He was worth it. It clearly says she cheated, and he's saying that she'll find no one who is better then he is. |

A. Best song on the album, without a doubt. My favorite. B. I think its about how he's angry with the girl he's dating/dated. He is just trying to hurt her (hence what everyone is saying about screwing a random girl at the show), and doesn't really care about what is right and what is wrong anymore (left my conscience pressed between the pages of the Bible in the drawer-meaning he's abandoned all faith in a greater good and his own good side in the hotel room, etc.). /“I hoped you choked And crashed your car”/ He wants something horrible to happen to her, just to get back at her. He never had much luck with love before but he tried to have some anyway, and it turned out he could never actually find love. C. Loose lips sink ships is a common expression made popular in WWII, meaning that lies and rumors can lead to horrible things. |
