Massive Attack – Karmacoma Lyrics 20 years ago
This is a song about marijuana, even though Tricky seems to be rapping about a girl.

Analogy? I think so :)

Nine Inch Nails – Non Entity Lyrics 20 years ago
we can expect a follow up in the likes of "fixed" "further down the spiral" or "things falling apart"... i wouldn't be surprized to find this song on that (hopefully) eventual halo :)

Coldplay – Everything's Not Lost Lyrics 20 years ago
The day I told my actual girlfriend I was in love with her, she told me she did too, but that she couldn't be in a relationship right now because she had too many guys chasing her (read demons), that she needed to get them out of her view before something could happen. Now I know it may sound strange, but she's too nice to hurt anybody, even though the person she hurt the most by doing that was me. So anyway, she burned me a cd, with this song.

Now that I look back on all that, if she wouldn't have gave me that CD, I wouldn't be living the dream I am now.

So she was right to hope, everything's not lost.

Orgy's cover is actually the exact same thing as the one New Order themselves released as "Blue Monday '88"

Björk – Hunter Lyrics 20 years ago
From Bjork's photography book "Wardrobe":

"[...] You hear a story, it makes you laugh, cry, think; it moves you to do something, take action, suspend a decision or even tell yourself another story. So the narrator is pushing you onto the very instances of narrative; he makes you a listener, an actor, a teller; Such is his superiority: he manoeuvres you, like a doctor. Such is your weakness, you are dependent, you must get on with the stories he tells you and puts you in.

Diana is changed into a doe in order for the hunter to pursue her more easily. And having lulled the watchfulness of the narrator/hunter, having made him believe in the reality of his story by executing it, she lures him gently into her trap. Once he is caught, it is his turn to be the narrated one in his story. This is a come-back, the reversal of roles between narrator and narrated. «I am the Hunter.» [...]"

The Cure – Primary Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is about falling in love, and trying to push it away because of past bad experiences.

Then the regrets kick in.
