i've never heard the song but love the lyrics. i feel as if its just in general you did something and he wants to think about what would happen if he did it differently or something but cant. still, i'm convinced that wondering what if is the worst thing there is its just plain genious writting. |

| couldnt agree more with everyone. i just heard this song a few days ago and am addicted to it! i love how the emotion is so obviously frustrated and yet calm? like they know that the song is gunna end in a few minutes so their calm, but they know it isnt the same way with the 40 something wars raging on right now. so they're frustrated. or at least john is. i think thats his name. and yeah i'm serious about 40 raging wars going on right now. everyones so hyped up about the iraq war but there are more than just that one. it just happens to be the most publicized. | |

oh ok someone just told me what happened. i think the song has this escence about it. its like you get sucked in and u become one with the song. personally i already thing someone answered what it means. they got it form the site but in my oppinion the beauty about the song isnt what its about, rather what it feels like to you. to me its just basically accepting that what you did yesterday, last week, last year, all create or build your future. but it also means to me, live in the moment. you cant promise tomorrow today you know? just dont think about it. this song hands down is brilliantly written and i think we just shouldnt try and analyze it too much. or else we loose the feeling of the song. so, sing me something soft sad and delicate or loud and out of key sing me anything amazing lyrics. |

lol the lyrics here are kinda off but...i think the song is about something personal. i mean its a huge leap but, it seems like a metaphor for something. Ray writes most of the songs on the cd, so i believe something happened to him. it also seems as if hes trying to end the story with a beginning. if that makes any sense. i think rays talking about someone he had a relationship with. but at the same time its like the guy got caught killing the people. ok so this is how i see it. its like this girl got shot by this guy by accident. the guy meant to shoot the girls bf. he loved her and didnt want to see her with that guy. then 10 years later she signs a deal with the devil. she gives him the souls of a thousand evil men and she can live again with her bf. (gerard). So she finally kills the men and is brought back to life but people are now looking for the woman who apparently rised from the dead and killed a thousand men, carving a number into their forehead. Gerard drives with her away from the police until they cant drive anymore, then they get out hand in hand running through a hail of bullets and both die together. but Gerard dies first and as she slips away into death the last thing she sees is gerard dead. just like when she first died 10 years ago, gerard watched her die. so basically the devil cheated her. i'm not sure how Rays part relates to the song but i have a feeling it does. but meh, who knows? only the writer. |
