What cman says seems to make a lot of sense. Recently Ted Leo came to DC (woot) and played for a peace rally which was completely awesome. i love how includes the fact that there are people who do care but cant because their working their ass off (therefore indirectly helping the current corrupt system) just to feed their family. I also like the way the lyrics are strait up and nonconfusing. (yes! a song that i can understand) Sing it loud Ted Leo we Love U. |

For me this song is about realizing is the sad realization of the lack of accomplishment in your life and how your probably going to stay in the same situation for the rest of it. I guess it could also be about the way that people can control your life liek the "man" in this song moves the painting. Can anyone help explain the verse "when i get home to you"?

i agree with the above that Louis XIV doesnt exactly sound like queen. this song always puts me in a good mood with it's awesome guitar line. Though i love the lyrics the song still promotes slutiness and the thought that girls should "sell" themselves to guys. Never the less as a very short self conscious girl who doesnt get a lot of attention from guys this song always makes me feel awesome about myself. Rock On Louis XIV |
