This song has so many different meanings that no matter what Sarah's intentions for it were, it can relate to everybody in any way that they want it to. Whether you've lost a loved one. Whether you're a drug addict. Whether you're clinically depressed, or you self-mutilate. Or whether you're a struggling anorexic, like me. It take reach out to you. I believe that Sarah once said in an interview that this song was about all the celebrities that have died because of drug overdoses or something like that. But to me, it's about an eating disorder. Like the person that commented above me said "glorious sadness" is exactly how it feels to have an eating disorder. For me, with anorexia, it's like...everyday is so sad and depressing because you don't get to live life like everyone else. And no matter what you do to try and make things better, it never seems to be enough. "There's always some reason to feel not good enough, and it's hard at the end of the day." But then, when you go a day without eating a bite, this pride rushes over you, like you did the right thing. It's a bittersweet feeling. This song has helped me get through many many tough times. |

You guys are complete idiots. If you hate Britney so much, then why do you spend so much time looking her up on this site? ..This makes me think that all of you are just afraid to admit that Britney is one of your guilty pleasures, someone who isn't a fan doesn't spend so much time talking about her. I literally listen to every genre of music. I love it all, and that includes Britney. I admit, that she isn't the most talented artist out there, but her music is fun to listen to. So what if she doesn't write her own lyrics? She has her own style and she's talented in her own way, and thats what counts. I don't understand why people hate her so much, she seems like such a nice person, she's not even snobby. You guys are just jealous because Britney made it big and you didn't. Get a life! |
