staysludgee, Sam does guest vocals on one track for the new album as far as I'm aware. boothx hit the nail on the head, this song is about drugs, and judging from the lyrics is most probably about ecstacy. First of all, it is called the comedown, ie the effects you feel the day after doing e. "the skies were once paved with gold, now they rain on us all" - you feel great while you're on it, next day feel terrible. "i've made my bed so i'll lie in it. i've dug my grave so i'll die in it." - he knows it was his choice to do it so now has to suffer the consequences / after-effects. "clenched teeth and fluttering eyes" - common side-effect whilst being on the drug. "i cant go on like this. just like the living dead, i've got a taste for something. and i dont want it, i just need it." - feel like you have to rely on it to have a good time. "I'D RATHER LIVE, THAN LIVE FOREVER" - rather take e and have a good time than be straight-edge and live long but not experience the fun of intoxication. hence the song seems to describe the good and bad effects of doing the drug, without taking sides. |

| The lyrics for this song were probably inspired by the recent war in Iraq, and the current political climate. I think Takeshi is trying to say that the world is now a crazy place, riddled with war and greed, and the only thing everyone has in common concerning this situation is some sxort of fear, everybody is scared about what's happeneing and the possibilities that could arise, but if we unite and overcome this fear, fear which the authorities use to control us, we can make this world a better place. | |
