I get the feeling this is a story of someone dying. They're having an epiphany and have accepted God. I gather this from lines like "Night awaits the lamb's arrival" and "By your hand I've awakened Bear this honor in my name." And to justify it, the song was written by Petrucci, who was also the writer of "In The Name Of God"(my fave DT song.) another note: this song was the only dream theater song to hit the rolling stone magazines "top 100 solos of all time" which the solo is absolutely amazing in this song... |
