| Opeth – Serenity Painted Death Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This may seem rather farfetched, but it is my understanding that "serenity" is taken from the word serene, which was an old european title given to people of a royal family. This may further the narrator (poor (perhaps black) slave/peasant) loving a member of the royal family. Perhaps it was illegal to marry a peasant whilst being part of a royal family? |
