I think the song refers to how we rely on our senses to interpret reality, and because of it, we really know nothing it all. Through their synapsis, neurons (or brain cells) send electrical messages to one another. This, for the most part is how the brain sends messages to the body and vice versa. (ex, sight, sound, pain...you name it). Here's a definition of the word "nascent" that I found: Of or relating to the state of a chemical element at the moment it is set free from one of its compounds. So people are walking chemical reactions, a hive of cell synapsis and nascent self-perception. We are a pile of cells that interpret truth through neurons and nerve endings, organs and cells. We use our senses to derive what is the "truth" and we think we know it all, because we can see it. But vision is just a chemical reaction in the brain. So we can have eyes and not see. Well I don't know how well I explained that concept, hopefully you all can let me know... I don't think I put it into words very well. |

It's a girl calling her bf, and realizing he has another girl in the house. Since he is with another woman there, he can't say tell Beyonce that loves her or call her baby, much less say her name. He's trying to play it cool and say no one's there, but Beyonce heard the girl! When he realizes that he is in trouble, he says that he has to go (even though he had just gotten home) What a jerk! |

The lyrics say that the agoraphobia, or wanting to stay inside is caused by reading the news. This is because of the sensationalist reporters of America. All they talked about was home land security and how we were all going to die from anthrax. We had to check our mail for anthrax, wait hours to get on a plane(if you weren't too scared to fly). This kind of media coverage would want to make anyone stay inside, plagued with fear. But then the song goes on to say that waiting in the throws(blankets, bed) " is on a par with reading with my eyes closed." cuz it makes no damn sense. We should live our lives and enjoy the moments we have on this earth. Ones like kissing a lover's lips. And the apes with ego trips are politicians. All they want is power and money. |
