Personally, I look at it as taking risks, as well as deviating from a parents set plan. He's taking a risk to do what he wants to do, whether that is being a musician or whatever, and his mother is worried, but of course he wants to live life as he has planned. |

This is how I see it. No matter what a song was meant to be definatively about is always up for debate unless the artists comes out and says exatly what he or she meant. It really just comes done to why the song fits into your life or your mind. Simply to me, it represents the person you have to be out there in the world, and who you really are when you are home with loved homes, something that really touches me. |

This is more and more becoming my favorite songg, not because I have an alcoholic in the family, or a closemined, but with the chorus mainly. It really speaks to me about life and love and well, I'm in such a bad spot right now with love, this song actually makes me cry. |

Love this song, one of my favorite off the new album. It's obviously about a special person in his life who is always there for him when he cannot keep himself together. It really means a lot to me, because I tend to loose grip of reality from time to time, and my girlfriend is always there to set me straight and hold on tight. Great song. |

This song means everything to me. The Road and the Radio is really exactly what I do half the time. If I'm lost or am down and depressed, I just hit the road and drive for hours with a nice tune on the radio. It's the best theropy you could ever wish for, especially in the summer with the windows down and the sun setting. This is the song playing on my radio now adays. |

While parts of this song may have to do with sex in some way shape or form, "...and there's so much that I long to do to you," that could also refer to simply spending more time together, or what not. The line "...I tell her I love her, and we both laugh, cause we no it isn't true," is basically saying he has very strong feelings for her, and believes he could love her, or really does and just covers it up because he doesn't want her to feel his pain. He is going through what msot guys do when they loose a special girl, withdraw, doubt and jealousy.
Great song BTW. |
