Ok people, here goes my interpretation "I didn't want to know I just didn't want to know Best to keep things in the shallow end Cause I never quite learned how to swim" Call me crazy but wat came to my mind is someone who knows his wife/girl/guy is unfaithful but does'nt want to know that its for real (if that makes any sense). He wants things to be murky, doesnt want it to be proven. He knows its happening but doesnt want to see it. "Close my eyes just to look at you Taken by the seamless vision I close my eyes, Ignore the smoke, Ignore the smoke, Ignore the smoke" This makes me think of imagining her making love to someone. | I think most of us have got it right. I dont normally compare the song with the videos but the video shows maynard with three women corresponding to this kid with a boat facing three girls. A love triangle come to mind first thing, but three women and a guy, itsnt that err 4 people. Anyway, i love this track. thanks to my friend who put me into apc. | |
