To me, this is a song about a relationship between a guy and a girl. They do really well together, and if they wanted to at any second, they could just lose all sense of reality and become completely enveloped in each other. They know this would be a beautiful thing to get swept up in, but he knows it wont last that way "you'll be mine by taking our time" It's really a very passionate song. The reason why it seems so intense to me is the tension created by the self control. It's not even a song about not being able to handle the limits, but about holding back because you know it will fulfill more in the long run. |

to hak, the first verse is not about weed at least, I'm pretty sure it's not it seems like he's talking about more hardcore drugs. The addiction he's talking about is a lot more than an addiction to weed, because even the most addicted stoner will tell you that it doesn't make you escape because it becomes a part of you. I think it's about heroin, but that's just a guess cause I've never done heroin. And talking about not trusting the cut and the effect not being as high is about an unfair heroin dealer who charges too much for rip off drugs. and to the boredness guy, that sounds more like your experience that vaguely relates to this song. I don't here anywhere in this song him saying he is done with her shit. He does say he realizes he's a bad boyfriend maybe she's not a very good girlfriend either, but he still loves her. He says it's getting easier to leave her, but then the last verse he says he'd basically be anything to be close to her again. |

This song is amazing basically, to me it's about a guy that's in love with a girl (or guy, you never know) and it's a love that's not very realistic, but he knows it's love. That love pretty much made him complete when he fell for this person he's singing about. Then, I guess, he heard somthing about them that's kinda shady, or something. He felt like he gave a lot (the thing about crossing the desert to be with them) but it ended up them breaking his heart. He still is completely in love with this person, and everything seemed so perfect. They were there for him when he needed it. In the end, it didnt work, but he's still in love, and he still desperately needs this person. anyway, it's an amazing song. and the line is "take me and renew" |

This is one of my favorite songs. I chose this song for my boyfriend. It totally fits Pretty much it means that life is hard, and being with someone you love makes it so much easier. There is no way to describe the way it feels to be in love. If you asked me to write a paper on how love feels, I would be left with a blank paper. You know it when you feel it. This song is perfect for me and my boyfriend. We talk on the phone sometimes until 2 in the morning, and sometimes I cant quite remember everything that we talked about, because I fall asleep on the phone. There's not enough time, because we are both in High School and it's like we only have this time, plus I'm moving for a semester, so it's pretty much like we are running out of time to be together. But you have to treasure every moment, becuase there may not be extra time left over... Great song, perfection. |

I think this song is about sitting around and waiting for the person he cares for, but they keep leading him on and then leaving him wondering. The whole line "I want this plot to twist, I've had enough mystery" is pretty much saying that he never knows exactly whats going on, and he's not sure of this person's real feelings. I can very much relate to this song. He's pretty much saying that he's totally in love with this person, but they keep fooling him. They may genuinely care, but they never give back what he's offering to them. It's about heartbreak and love pretty much... This song is reeeeally good. Jack Johnson in a total genious, for sure. All of his songs come from the heart, and they have a lot of meaning. |
