| Taking Back Sunday – Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Okay so i'm thinking while reading everyone's comments that for one i admit i thought it was about a girl but after hearing about the whole "if you see something, say something" used after 9/11 and all the chaos... well im thinkin that for one the chorus that adam wrote is trying to say that although the mishap was genuine and true it was unprepared so next time if u see something say something... after thinking abotut hat then i start thinking more about the terror attacks and how people are saying that the government was behind it all so when he sings that "we are going once, twice, three times sold" that we all bouht into the lies they told us and that we arebetter off believing everything we heard was true. and the side stuff like the "too brooklyn im homebound" is saying hes going back to his roots bc he is attached and wants to be there for everyone and how there were poor martyrs how are better men than he will ever be. they deserve the credit and yet we arebeing cheated by our own government. I know it's touchy but let me know what u think about this. thanks! | |

| okay... i just wanted to poiint out the fact that the whole raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses bid is... to me... a play off of the "sound of music" lyrics with talk about her most favorite things and she has raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses alone wiht everything else thats beautiful in this world... and therefore the bad side PATD talk about are the least favorite things... im gonna take a big guess at that one let me know what u think | |

| i def think i actually know what this is about...like yeah the first verse is ust talking about how the girl is totally in denial and wants to believe everything is alright but he knows better... he tells her in the chorus to just ask the question and i think they are reffering to "do you love me ne more? or do you still want to fight this?" hes telling her to say she wont care so its easier on the both of them and they try to avoid it but theres a huge doubt they will last and thats the one thing he cant do nething about... the second verse ei think is about how he has no attraction to her ne more and cant go on because theres no reaction of acting on the situation.... i think thats it but if not let me know | |
