Definetly agree in respects to the song expressing the symbolic death of a lover. When a relationship ends, so does that person. The other person will no longer exist in one's life as they had during the relationship. The person will cease to be a part of one's life. The part: There must be an angel with a smile on her face, When she thought up that I should be with you. I interpret it as a mischievous/playful angel that for fun, conjured up the idea of having this guy fall in love with this girl (a girl that was out of his league or that wouldn't normally take interest in guys such as him).It probably wasn't done out of malice, but the guy is now saying that the angel is atleast getting a little laugh to see how his idea ended up playing out. |
