| to me this song is about being an adult and what some people consider to be the the perfect life. this song is about a man who did the best he could in school so he could get the best job possable. but unfortunatly for him not everyone can be a success and he is stuck in a middle managment hell, of which he will never be released and he wheres a a nice suit and owns a practical family car and looking back on his life he realises that it is all for nothing 1st he got a job because that is what he was susposed to do the he got married because the was what was susposed to happen now he realizes he didt really understand what he was geting in to and is very scared because the safe life turned out not so safe. and now he realizes how people change and he dosent even know his own wife any more. as for the eunics they are asking to be studed out but cant they are asking to go back to the days before when the could have sex but its just to late as it is for the man and he is contemplateing suicide and sees that as his only way out the last few moments are the last dance and his whole life is the sad song and he him self IS the band and his death will be something no one will remember or even care about. | |
