Elliott didn't stab himself with a needle, he stabbed himself with a knife. Plus he wasn't really very handsome.
And it's definitely about Neely Jenkins. Just like "Take It Easy (Love Nothing)." Miss Jenkens is/was an elementary school teacher in Omaha. |

Perhaps Jackally has forgotten that the entire purpose of this site is for users to guess what the lyrics of a song mean, and allow groups of people to make a collaborative effort to figure out the meanings.
But personally, none of us will ever really be able to figure out Elliott. I'm sure most of us can feel the pure emotion of his music though. That's part of Elliott's genius; he has something to offer everyone. Everyone can get something from his music. Especially other depressed geniuses. |

I don't think this song is about anything as scandalous as a romance. I think that Matt and the "She" mentioned are just friends. Lately, "She" has been horribly depressed. She can't even bear to see the sun, and she's horribly upset because it means that she made it through the night. Matt's been through it too; a lot of of us have. But she's been stuck for a while, and he can't really help her. His only consolation is that they'll both be dead and in hell together, and then he will be there to keep her warm. And Matt (and Dan) like hell. |

Worse than any Alkaline Trio song before it, and maybe even after it.... No, "We Can Never Break Up" and "Poison" are pretty terrible too. |

| My Chemical Romance – You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison Lyrics

Prison sex has almost nothing to do with homosexuality. I think this song does have some sexuality issues though, but please don't get them mixed in with the whole prison thing. Basically, this song mentions how gay men (typically seen as more effeminate) are more often raped in prison than heterosexuals. Not because the people in prison who rape men are gay, but because they're monsters. In fact, they're usually heterosexual, that's why they go after the more effeminate men. So yeah. Just thought I'd help clear things up. |
