Rinse it Away, i think you might have been kinda right with your first thoughts. I definately interpret this song to do with death and it appears to be being sung by someone who is dead. Where i think you might be right with wanting death is where it refers to 'a distant motorcade and then theres joy', maybe refering to him having done something to kill himself, because he wants death, and thinks joy will come at the finish line (death) because it might bring a new begining? |

In my opinion this song is about wanting to be the guy that everyone loves, and wanting people to recognise you and be able to be the guy that everyone wants to be. From the video i think that they are like the 'outcasts', maybe just shy or just not confident, but they want to be up on the dance floor, and they want to be amongst the girls having a good time but due to whatever reason, maybe just a flaw in their personality or character they dont seem to be able to. They crave to be like the people on the dance floor enjoying themselves, or the guys who manage to get the girlseven if it is just for one night. The holes part i think is where they actually do come out of their shells and have a bit of a good time, but maybe this is just in their imagination, this is just what they would love to happen, because we see at the end of the video they are all there back on the sofa asleep. |

| Quailmann7, i disagree with you there, i dont think he is getting into any relationships. In my opinion he knows the last page, meaning he knows how it will turn out in the end - happily ever after, but he cant read the first, meaning that he doesnt know how to start the story, so meaning that he doesnt know how to get the the final page, not being able to start a relationship | |
