Ok, if you have the CD, listen to the recording in the beginnning and end of the song. On a previous CD; History For Sale; Theres a song called "Calling You" The recording in "Hate Me" is of someone (sounds like a girl, not his mom) singing the chorus of "Calling You". "Calling You" is really happy about a relationship. "Hate Me" is really sad about a relationship... beginning and end over a span of 2 albums. Listen to it again if you havent heard the recording |

battaryacid...the album was released in 2000... something tells me, though the barenaked ladies have some good thoughts and lyrics, they didnt have so much insight that they could comment on a war which their album preceded by 3 years... unless by 'this whole war' you were referencing Bush Sr and previous conflicts? |
