He got kicked out of school for showing up drunk to a basketball game from what some sources tell me. But that cant be it, u dont get kicked out of school for something like that so there had to be more stuff involved... I personally find it interesting how now, after having released a (poopy compared to this) album that he decides to indirectly mention Blink-182: the most epic band to ever exist. But here's another question that I would like a response to: How would you feel if he mentioned Blink in WDNTW rather than I-Empire? How would you're thoughts about DeLonge have changed if he did in WDNTW? |

When I hear this song, I think its trying to tell you to get out and try something new i guess. Cuz thats what Tom did. He was depressed cuz he didnt have blink anymore so he decided to form a new band rather than sit in his room and be sad. That's what it means to me. And one thing i hate about the people who use this website is when they say that they love a song. This site is called SONGMEANINGS.net not TELLEVERYONETHATYOULOVEASONG.net cuz quite frankly i dont think anyone gives a shit. ok first of all, i really cant stand it when people just right "I love this song" or "This song is amazing". That's not what the fuckin website is for. This website is for people to discuss their thoughts and opinions towards songs and what they think it means. If someone says OMG I LOVE THIS SONG!! as what they think the song is about, i dont think anyone relly gives a flying fuck and that that person should just go hang themselves. moving on... At first i believed this song is about a girl about to break up with her bf and then saying that she and him were going to stay friends. The boy gets mad and doesnt wanna be her friend anymore and thats what i thought the whole "i lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness" Now i believe that this song is infact about a friend and his drug addicted friend trying to overcome his problems. People hear me out and give your damn feelings for songs and not whether or not you like them, because quite frankly NO ONE FUCKING CARES thank you :-D |

I think this song is truly about his girlfriend cheating on him. When it says "jealousy, turning saints into the sea" it means hes crying and "choking on ur alibies" which means that the girl is lying to him."But it's just the price i pay...Open up my eager eyes, cuz im Mr. Brightside" which means that he'll get over her because he looks at things on a positive note thats my opinion |
