I think you have it the wrong way around. I believe that he is alive and is visiting his girlfriend, who is in a grave. 'Fraulein' is a German word for unmarried. She's only one life away - quite beautiful |

First of all, one of my all time favourite magnum tracks, so incredibly powerful. Heres my two cents on some of Magnums cryptic lyrics .... 'Your father made fetuses With flesh licking ladies ' A simple example of the genius of Magnum, hes talking about a father having an affair, but hes able to word it in such a disgustingly beatiful way that it shows what a horrible thing the father has done. 'And I know they buried her body with others Her sister and mother and 500 families And will she remember me 50 years later I wished I could save her in some sort of time machine Know all your enemies We know who are enemies are' Once again Magnum talking about his 'love' Ann Frank, once again mangnums beauty shines through here, his hope of being able to save her in a time machine is very touching. 'Goldaline my dear We will fold and freeze together Far away from here There is sun and spring and green forever But now we move to feel For ourselves inside some stranger's stomach Place your body here Let your skin begin to blend itself with mine' This was one of his many visions, in which Siamiese twins are about to be eaten by some sort of animal. But as mangnum often displays he has a utterly incredible way of seeing the beatuy in the ugly ... and overcoming that ugly. The siamiese twins take confort in the fact that they will 'blend in to one' which is purposefully ironic i would think as im sure thats what all siamies twins would hope for, to be one. Much more of the song is still a beautiful blur to me, but thers half the fun , trying to decipher the genius of Magnums words |
