Led Zeppelin – Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree with Child_of_music, it's pretty funny when I see that it's about walking through the countryside with your dog!

It reminds me of an ex girlfriend, we used to listen to it over and over. It brings images to me of being punch-in-the-head in love with someone, walking somewhere peaceful, nothing in the world matters. Man it's a good part of life

Funny about Plant's dog in this context!

Pink Floyd – Echoes Lyrics 19 years ago
This wakes thoughts to me of a broad question of what is our consciousness and where has it arison from? As in millions of years ago (if the theory of evolution is true) somewhere deep in the oceans life was born, and somewhere between then and now we have grown to be aware of ourselves. No one knows how all this happened, but it feels to me that there is some unknown driving force behind it all, explained to some by religion, some by science, others don't think about it. I personally accept it as a big unknown, but that is definitely there, vibrating along in the background of all.

The second verse gives the image of aquatic life leaving the oceans for land, another step in our evolution, driven on by this unknown force.

I believe the third verse touches on thinking about your own consciousness, perhaps not trying to define it but thinking in a contemplative mindset.

To me the drawn out instrumental part is awesome, every time I listen to it it's a calm background to have whilst letting the images and thoughts that the rest of the album conjure up. Every time I listen to it it is a different song.

It's a very warm, floaty, comfortable song for me

Awesome song, awesome album.

Nirvana – Breed Lyrics 20 years ago
I think this song is about a guy who is in a relationship and feels smothered by the other person. I think that some circumstance (such as a pregnancy or something) has caused the relationship to step up a gear but the guy doesn't want to. I think he feels a bit ripped off, angry about being forced to pretend he is happy with the situation when he really isn't.

Or maybe it's a cynical take on the whole procreation idea, like being with another person, living in suburbia with three kids and a dog, white picket fences. The idea that alot of people see this as their main goal in life. This genetic programming that causes us to want to 'breed', for some unknown reason.
