i may just be trying to find a meaning that isnt there...or maybe this is just me overanalyzing...but The Fall of Troy seem to like to make literary references in their songs, evident in songs like Hol[]y Tape. This song may be a reference to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn/Tom Sawyer. The first chapter of Huck Finn is called "Tom Sawyer Waits"...and the lyrics seem to relate to the story of Huck Finn/Tom Sawyer. They were in a band of robbers, and found a large sum of gold, that was rationed off to giving them one dollar a day. Huck, being an 11 year old innocent child, may be seen as an annoyance to Tom...which would explain the part in the song... fill your head with indigenous lies... Shut up, get down, you're blowing our cover!!!! also, this phrase can be related to the story But in all of my life, i've found nothing... like this. I walk down these roads, you drive them like highways. Not a care in your mind if you'er doing the right thing. the improper grammar relates to the story. also, "found nothing...like this" could be talkin about the gold they found. personal interpretation...feedback appreciated |

| well...technically...the song was called..."i liked you alot better before you became a myspace whore" but theyre lawyers were afraid of a lawsuit..so hence the new name. the lyrics are talkin about mainly the fact that all these little girls and people who get myspaces and "pimp" them out with FOB stuff..when these people dont even know one song by them xcept for sugar and dance...maybe grand theft autumn. but thats it. theyre mainstream and whoring out fob. and the song just talks about how fob liked the people who have been with them from the beginnning..but dislike the myspace whores. sorry its long...and sorry if its wrong...but this is what i see | |
