awwwww this song is so sweet. it's really innocent and cheerful. my favorite lines are: 'And we're like giants up here in our big yellow digger' 'And the engine rattles my bum like berserk' 'Me and my dad havin a top laugh' 'And I'm so glad I'm not in schoolbox' 'Like zoids, or transformers, or maybe even bigger' lmao there are so many of them!! and btw paulmdenton and andaah its not pop, its folk music. this song is definitely about sex....maybe date rape?? a few guys have said there's a darker side to the song than what you first think. 'Do you feel bad, like I feel bad?' refers to him feeling guilty about date raping this girl but he's probing for a more romantic interpretation to the feeling, so he asks this as an attempt to make it seem more sexy. 'Hit me, I can take your cheap shot' means basically-- 'you can try to fight me but i'm stronger than you'. 'Leave you with the love we made' means he's not in a long relationship with this person and he's planning on leaving her afterwards-- a really freaky line i reckon. 'It’d be easy if you get mad But three fingers point back to you' is saying that if she reports him date raping her, she will get herself into trouble too-- three fingers point back to you when you point at someone, so basically if she tries to blame him there'll be more blame on her. And 'Be happy to get what you do' is basically implying that he is doing her a favour by date raping her because she will never get any sex otherwise. I think it's a really sick and twisted song-- but i can't help loving it coz it's so beautiful and i love all the 'ooooooooh's-- they really give it a great effect. By the way I am a synaesthete and this song is so totally bright red and black and all smeary and blurry, like smudged lipstick or something-- so.....that is partly why i think it is so beautiful. But anyhoo... tis a great song |
