Since not alot of poeple posted what the song actually means, i think i will.
This song is of course about a boy who has a crush on a girl, and this girl is "too cool" for him and he thinks shes just pretending this stuff and all, like shes always wearing make up.. metaphor to a mask. Also sice he likes her,and all he can think about to complain about her is her tattoos and stuff.. Its kind of like that cute quirky 5th grade love. |

On the surface, It's saying how much of a pushover American boys are. As a girl in the states dating a international student with a stupid american boy persuing me, i think i can say that American boys try way to hard and then get way too mad when they're shot down.of course shes going to leave him for an english boy, because boys form other countries are so much better!

This song to me is about someone who has lost their identity in the process of trying to live up to others expectations (i.e. "to make your parents proud") and when they snap back to earth, their alter ego is trying to hide them, and he`s avoiding it to kill it all together so he can be himself again. i think my explaination fits the lyrics perfectly. |

Not to sound conceited, but i think this song perfectly describes me. i mean i`m VERY insecure about myself, but i always try to look my best, and other poeple compliment me. like it says "mess of insecurities, attention starved with a narcissistic twist" . It`s going back and forth from the beauty to the flaws. Everyone wants to hear they`re beautiful, and this person is shamelessly flattering himself. Yet at the same time, he is making it known that just because he thinks those things, it doesnt mean hes actually secure. |
