this song is gorgeous. no other word. absolutely adore it. the part i like best is "No one's fooling anyone/Everyone struggles inside" because SJ really just captures a certain feeling about the world. just the whole idea of everyone putting up a face for everyone around them to fall for. and it is true, everyone does it. "When you say how ya doing? We'll say we are fine...Cause I, I, oh I always laugh when I'm hurting". beautiful. "Still I'm stuck in this nightmare joke, no company, my strings are broke" ack love it. =) well after re-quoting practically the whole song, I just have to say that I think it refers to hidden feelings and how there is a need to be something different, "I'm holding out for a different fate" i think the bonfire is refering to burning down all the facades and masks to get down to what really exists, what was before selling out or something =). ps. i think its "With your burger bleeding on the plate" instead of "If we're good leading on the play" maybe? i dunno give it a listen. bye! sorry for that ramble. just love this song. a lot. |
