I think this is about two people who had been old friends way back when. One friend turned 'good'- in a sense that he became an officer, the other friend turned 'bad'- perhaps a killer, due to the lines.. "I wonder what would have happened If you were the killer" though it may just be metaphorical. Therefore, I think it's the 'killer' questioning his old friend- Patty Garrett- on his decisions.. like, turning the 'killer' in. I hope someone understands that. /: FABULOUS song. |
