| The Libertines – Tell The King Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Obviously all the king and "palace gates" thing refers to a Pete's low self-esteem. He doesn't fit in that world he's talking about (or maybe it's about another person and not being worth for him/her), he can't help but feel like a stranger, and his only way to feel comfortable is to get lost into drugs/alcohol/whatever it takes. And the Jack bit refers to him too, just from another perspective. |

| Well, well, "stolen". Like it was a very original line that probably nobody wrote before Roxy Music... | |
| The Smiths – Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Hmm, sorry, I left out the title (well, the most important part, ...details...). Maybe it's about repenting for a moment for the repeating lies and asking her girlfriend to not let him keep lying. By the way, I hope I didn't make any big mistakes, if so, please excuse my poor english. |

I think it's about a person who lost interest in his partner, and doesn't fulfils his part in the relationship. To excuse himself, he keeps making absurd excuses and continuosly lying to her; and to himself, like in "nothing's changed, I still love you, ...only slightly less than I used to, my love". Probably this is him trying to deny that he doesn't love her anymore (at least not like before), holding on to her, although it's not that way. Making the same excuses, now to himself. The bit about the drinking could be about the person starting to realize that the relationship cannot last any longer this way, and so depressing because he can't see his life without her (even though only because he's used to the life this way). In short, about a relationship dying and being afraid to assume it. |

| Radiohead – Like Spinning Plates Lyrics | 20 years ago |

The "in' pla" from "spinning plates" is really "help me" backwards, brilliant. You must get the backwards version or do it yourself, it's really beautiful. The live version is great too, but the song is great for the recording, and the live version loses it, so it makes it just another good song. The original is almost Perfect, maybe the best from Radiohead. |
