i don't think it's about sex. well, and by that i mean about someone who just wants sex. he's saying that anyone can say i love you without meaning it; he wants to be able to see that she means it. you can show love in a lot of other ways besides sex. love is a much deeper concept than three words is what he is saying in my opinion. |

i think it's talking about just plain old simple jealousy.. only so much jealousy that it's taking over his life. he can't quit imagining, as he's going to bed, that his girlfriend is getting in the cab to go stay the night with some other guy. he's unhappy, but that's the price he pays for being so jealous and paranoid when he has no real reason to be that he knows of. he's upset with himself for being so crazy jealous, because his girlfriend might acutally not be cheating, it's just all in his head. |

i was in the exact same situation.. i really liked a guy and we were friends, so that's what he saw me as. it hurt to be like that, and whenever i heard this song it would always make me hope that one day things would change for me like they did in the song.. and believe it or not they did. after me liking him for a year and a half, something finally just changed and now we've been dating for over a year and are very much in love.. i love this song =) |
