I think this song kind of tells about his life in order. He says 'come listen to my truest thoughts my truest feelings' just like an old man will say let me tell you a story. He's talking about how he was growing up with nothing and about the fights he got into with his mom. The second verse is when he moved away and started dealing 'Just got the message you've been calling all week been out here hustling on these streets, ain't had a chance to speak' and how he wishes that he wouldnt have to do it and how he wishes that poverty, drugs and cussing never existed. The third verse kind of describes how his life ended. He wishes he could have done more with his life. When he says 'after all the lights and screams nothing but my dreams matter' he is saying that after the shooting all he has is his mind. He is telling his mom to lay her head on his shoulder cuz he died like a soldier. IDK. I'm going through a lot of stuff right now so my mind is going every direction possible. To me it means this guy is leaving for w/e reason and is gonna be back but his gf is making him feel worthless. Then they have a fight and are talking on the phone and he says i love you right before she hangs up and it tears him up even more. Love this song. Woot. |

Oh man. This song is BA. And if you dont know what BA means it means Bad Ass. I kinda agree with bunetaybaz. Only to me a gurl is having doubts bout this guy loving her when he has showed her all the love he can give her hence the As our shadows grow there's nothing left to hide. So now its making him have doubts bout loving her and he is trying to forget her so he doesnt get hurt more than he already is. When he says he thought they were lost I think he means lost in paradise but they never could find the way to get there to get lost.
