EXTREMELY addicting song. The whole album is very good, but this is my favorite song from the disc. I heard it on the radio last week and I can't stop listening to it!!!! |

| Violent Soho – Jesus Stole My Girlfriend Lyrics

I like this song; the lyrics immediately bring to mind a guy whose girlfriend (or the girl he has feelings for) wants to be/is becoming a nun, and since nuns are "married" to God, it's like Jesus "stole" his girlfriend. |

The lyrics are very creative and insightful. My favorite part, which I absolutely adore, is when/how Brandon sings the line "Lover, can you help me?" I so wish it was sung more than twice... |

I managed to catch that last part of Grey's and I immediately had to find out what that song was, and I've been listening to it repeatedly. Though I was initially unsure, I've personally come to see this song as a contented acceptance of fate. The "loose ends" to me represent the metaphysical strings of fate and "taking flight" signifies the events in motion, but the fact that they're not "tying" him down means that he doesn't feel forced, that he accepts what's happening, as he implies with "where I fall is where I land." That's my opinion. This is such a good song... |

I LOVE THIS SONG. I heard on the commerical for GTA IV and got hooked. Even if I'm feeling down, the beat of the song perks me right up. Personally, I can link it to a couple characters from a favorite tv show of mine.
I especially love this verse:
"Got me on the run, loaded up my gun,
Blowing up the spot, hiding cuz I'm hot
Fire is my friend, marking where I've been,
Committing every sin, and do it all again"
So many different images come to mind... |

I ADORE this song, but I get different meanings and images whenever I'm listening to it.
The line that is most visual/expressive to me is "It's like you never had wings." So beautiful. |

I share similar sentiments with tortured tiaras: I absolutely adore the line "Intending to burn, pretending to fight it," but I personally see it more as inferring to self-destructive behavior; someone is intentionally hurting him/herself physically or emotionally (intending to burn) but acts like he/she is trying to fix it instead in order to appease others(pretending to fight it). Sorry, I have a better grasp of it in my head but I can't write it out properly right now. |

Beautiful song, although it took me a few listens to fully appreciate it; I love how the chorus is sung.
As for meaning, the lyrics seem to hint at some type of redemption, but that's just me. |

Hmmm... Inititally, when I first heard this song I was leaning more towards what skull face was saying, and then a little towards sceamline's view, but my interpretation is still a bit different...
With the reference to an "imaginary life" I think of someone who, rather than being afraid to reach for their goals, is too caught up in their own selfish dreams and is losing sight of reality and what's really important...But that's just my opinion. |

Although it's quite sad, every time I hear the line "Never coming, always leaving" I think of dogs (or cats) at an animal shelter, how they're waiting for someone to come and take them home, and people come by but and get their hopes up, but end up leaving--with another animal or whatnot. I can see their tails wagging and then drooping back down between their legs...I love/work with animals so that's why the song sparks that particular image. |

I absolutely LOVE this song--one of my favorites
I adore everything about it, and it's the perfect fit to the themes within Cowboy Bebop:KOHD movie (which is by the way one of the greatest anime series + movies ever). |

I love this song!!! Steve Conte absolutely rocks. This song has a really good message without sounding hokey or anything.
It's also on the first OST for Wolf's Rain; I haven't seen the entire series yet so I don't know if it is featured in any episodes, but it should be, lol. |

This song is really catchy; I'm quite fond of it.
As for meaning, it's so completely random that the only explanation that makes sense to me is that it's based on that particular party conversation; nothing more.
Here's something really interesting for those who may care:
This song is used as the ending theme to the anime Paradise Kiss, which recently finsihed airing in Japan. I've seen the first episode; it actually goes along well with the ending credits. Not too many anime theme songs are in English--I think that's pretty cool then that this is one was selected. |

| Muse – Showbiz Lyrics

"Controlling my feelings far too long
Forcing our darkest souls to unfold
And pushing us into self destruction"
I LOVE these lines, most especially when they are first sung in the begining of the song. I clearly get a message/theme of the possible psychological danger of holding back/controlling our true emotions can make us disillusioned, angry, or depressed, causing us to "fall" or letting our "darkest souls"--the worst part of ourselves-- to come out and cause emotional destruction.
The other lyrics stand out to me as representing the lust and greed of celebrity; I think they link back to those opening lines, suggesting that the reality of fame can be rather disheartening. |

LOL! I'm not sure, but I always picture monks singing for this song, which seems really appropriate to me for some reason...so cool...
To me, it's basically about one's vision of a perfect world, or Eden, and how it strongly contrasts to someone else's vision and how it creates struggle and misunderstanding...etc. Seems simple but it makes sense...
Anyways, I adore this song--makes me cry... |

Sunburn has the most beautiful opening I've ever heard.
I thought that the song had something to do with money, greed, and fame, but I wasn't entirely sure. Marijndevalk's theory definitely makes complete sense to me, although when I close my eyes and listen to the song I still get different images/ideas... |

Until a couple years ago, I had no no idea who Muse was, but I downloaded an AMV that used this song. I immediately fell in love with the song and from then on became a huge Muse fan... Citizen Erased is my favorite song from Origins of Symmetry.
From what I understand, the song is about being asked a question, and how everything/everyone around you can affect your perspective/opinion...or it could be about questioning motives, more or less. I know it's kinda weird but I think it makes sense. |
