System of a Down – Lonely Day Lyrics 20 years ago
Oops...I hope my comment didn't come across as disliking Daron's singing, because I think he's a wonderful singer. I just think that the song is more of a satire or somesuch because while it's pretending to be depressing, it seems to me to be lacking (emotionally) very much. And that's why it's amusing, because I think it's making fun of all the 'music' of today which really isn't music.

Sonata Arctica – The Power Of One Lyrics 20 years ago
I would have to agree with the idea that 'the power of one' (song) is related to 'the power of one' (book) as Tony has mentioned it's one of his favorite books in hs bio.

Sonata Arctica – Replica Lyrics 20 years ago
Have any you who have listened to this song read "All Quiet on the Western Front?' There are some uncanny similarities. I don't want to give away the book, but the song's end resembles the book's very much.

I completely agree with ackj. That was my impression when I first listened (actually, it was, oh my god who are you and what have you done with system). I don't think it's about Daron being sad- he's much too intelligent to write about depression and rejection etc. with such bland wording and such poor grammar.
