People have been talking about the "prayer to father time" line quite a bit but i think it means something different. I thinks its saying the same thing as "If you want to hera God laugh, tell him your plans". We humans can make all the plans we want but we can't make them come true. Like a prayer-God answers all of them but sometimes the answer is no. sorry thats kind of confusing. i think every english teacher i had in school would love this. he used so much description, you can see it in your head (just like the teacher used to say to do in stories). and the description is raw- "that reeked of piss and 409" I think that in addition to what everybody has said about the love part-staying even though it hurts in the end-this talks about true unconditional love. you hair all falls out and i still love you kinda stuff. not just that the ppl are still there for you but that they love you through it all. I think the question at the end is less "who loves you?" and more "are those ppl that love you unconditional?" i feel like its an inspiration to keep looking for the best kind of love thats out there. This is a sad song but somehow, i dont want to cry during it. I dont think we're supposed to. I think we're supposed to feel inspired. does anybody know if Sarah was the person dying or some one else? does anybody else think he says sarah funny? something that ive always noticed about this is the "but" at the start of "but im thinking of waht srah said" as in. every1 else is lifting their heads b/c theyve been thinking of the nurses message. Theyre thinking about death. In my head, ppl all around ben looking up but him still staring at the ground lost in his own thoughts. He's thinking about the love he has with the dying person and good things about them while everyone else is thinking about that moment and the death ive rambled for a long time now and none of that is worded in a way that anybody else can understand so ill stop now. This song is genius. its the best written song ive ever heard |

| You know i really dont think that the specific lyrics in this mean anything in particular like in some songs. like 'evicted' doesnt really mean condemned or anything. i think this whole song would mean just as much if i said "forward motion is hard" over and over. i dont think i would love it as much if it was like that tho | |

This is the most beautiful song ever written. nothing compares... the whole "k" thing. if his g/f's name was krystal, that name was originally and usually is spelled with a c. just like the word confusion. w/o going through each line in this song and analyzing it, which believe me ive done, i'll just say that I think it's about a 1st love that they thought might be forever, but broke up b/c he showed her his weakness and that didnt fit into her plans and then she found out the breaking up doesnt stop how you feel about some one. Now theyre both trying to live but they find that when you've love some one and try to return to your life before the w/o them, youre basically not living at all so they keep trying to be friends. I think the end is how he sees the future, not how it necessairly ended up. Basicaly-they break up and cant get over each other. |

I'm not a big bush fan but this is my absolute favorite song. The only song prettier than it is Konstantine by soco. I'm not sure what it means but from kinda putting other people stuff together- if glycerine is a clear, odorless tasteless liquid then "it might just be clear simple and plain that's just fine that's just one of my names " could mean that he is glycerine.
