The funny thing is, the band thanks God in their comments on "its odd how people shake"...However, art damage then provokes the thought of disbelief and uncertainty in "the god awful truth" of anykind of higher being. Then, we come to the always open mouth, with songs filled with disbelief and hatred towards god. Why? I don't know, dave is aa fucking weird person period and kind of an asshole.
Dave seems to not really have a problem with god, maybe christians in general, but this kind of music seems to be filled with the hte of christianity. No one touches anyother religions at all. Why? personal vendettas and stupid bullshit like that.
Either way, there is something we are missing about dave and maybe fear befores background. Me, atleast I know what I know what I believe. in. There is a god, but it is illogical to search for him and provide evidence for something we cannot see, hear, touch...We will meet him on the otherside one day. |

Why it is about coke:
the title is "the glorious nosebleed"
the "force feeding lines" part
the line "calcium waste" obvious
the line "this sort of thing gets you out of mind" refers to how much easier it is to attempt suicide. This whole song is about coke and suicide...Being scared to go through with the suicide but being able to forget about it with coke. |

I dont agree, cove has better vocals. Just because anthony can hit a high pitch and his vocals are all high pitched, does not mean he is better. In the area of vocals you look for someone like cove, but anthony has a different more peculiar vocals. This is what makes people go crazy for anthony, because his singing is like no other. |

"Yes, the song is about my dad and I.....heres the deal....we were on tour with story of the year and my dad was out in maryland on business....just so happened we were in that area at the same time.....we had two shows in one night.....and my dad came to both of them.....the next morning on his way back to the airport to go home to our appartment in dana point.....my half brother was driving him (he lives in maryland).....and got in a car accident....my dad died at the scene and my brother was ok.....we had a show the day he died and I decided to play it somehow....and it was the most amazing emotional show I've ever played and not just for me.....the whole band was in tears by the end.....I finished the tour which was about 2 more weeks.....when i came home and was dealing the whole thing and was moving out from me and my dads appartment and in with beau.......Anthony wrote the lyrics for me......and I will forever thank him for that......that songs amazing and obviously is close to my heart

Hmm...So far alcoholism, God, Pressuring sex, & his cocaine addiction. Well, was his mother really an alcoholic? The song really hints on some sort of addiction or bad habbit.
The person does not know where home is because violations on family or friendship ties due to some sort of habbit/chronic behavior. He wants the person to just stop and live life at an even keel; however, he does not have enough strength to stop this.
