I love the song. But when I read the lyrics by Super Sapien, I thought the lyrics were quite stupid.
The correct lyrics are so much better. "You're so loretta young silks" may be a simple line but it's a real message. |

I bought the NME and there was this thing about canadian indie bands. I looked them up at myspace and the best of those bands was tokyo police club. i can't rate the other songs but i think they sound a bit like the hives .. - just the vocals.
the mixing of the vocals and the backvocals at the chorus sounds - simply said - very good. i like this song. |

I like the new way of Art Brut. The lyrics are still "funny" but they are way better and the new album is great. I didn't really like the first album (despite some Songs were fine) but I knew this band could do a good 2nd album.
And yes, it rocks. Nag*4 is the best song they ever did and "Jealous Guy" is pure class, too.

Firstly: This song is my favourite by now. I really love it.
Secondly:
I interpret this similar. But if the lyrics are right then the girl's gotta be a member of this "gang". He's telling her to "keep on the balaclava", so this means she has one, too.
She seems to like him because he "baffles 'em straight" and because he likes "a bit of trouble".
She falls in love with him, asks him to take off the balaclava (to kiss? to end the gang-being?), but for him "causing troubles" is more important and so he's keeping the balaclava on and asks her to do the same.
I don't get it why he "won't let her out of sight" though.
