This is my personal favorite Carpenters song. It's a ballad which works into a wall of sound pop song. Richard Carpenter went all out with this song. This is one of his very best musical arrangement. As always Karen sings this song wonderfully. Also from my favorite album "Horizon". |

This is an absolutely beautiful song. many have recorded "Desperado" yet Carpenters in my mind have the best recording. Karen's voice is outstanding. She sings with deep, rich, dark tones. this song contains the famous Carpenters "chill factor". From my favorite Carpenters album "Horizon". |
