I think its about someone whose trying to keep the present time alive as long as he can. or maybe hes regreting something in the past? but i know its definately about moving on from one stage of life to the next... great graduation song. |

I can't believe there hasn't been as many comments on this song. Its the first song I heard by Halifax and what made me realize what an amazing band they are. I haven't been listening to them too long so I don't know too much about them, but I think the song is another break up song. By looking at the chorus, she has no feelings for him anymore, yet he still cares for her greatly. Then at other times he's glad she's gone... "You did everything to me I did to you This is the last song that your getting Cuz we're through The only thing left perfect Was things we put between us Cuz you know I?m always right And your postcards are saying How good it feels not to have you here" I think its just a song about his mixed feelings about this girl. |
