Well, not a lot of people have commented on what this song means. I'll give it a shot. "Here you stand seething with guilt. Silence only justifies this act of cowardice. The look stapled on your face cries out for forgiveness, The one thing that I cannot give." This guy is angry with a girl who's speechlessly guilty of something she did to him. He knows she wants him to forgive her, but he can't. "Did you ever see that one person And the way they do these things And it hurts you so much it's like choking, choking, CHOKING!" It hurts a hell of a lot for her, obviously. "I can give you freedom from your guilt, with a flick of my wrist onto yours." I'm not sure what this means. "I can give you peace of mind with a forced smile." He knows can make her feel better and content if he forces a smile. "I can give you death with the look upon my face. " He knows he can also 'kill' her by looking at her angrily. "This is your freedom, in a life of fallacy, with no last kiss and no regrets; you don't deserve good bye. This is your freedom, in a life of fallacy, with no last kiss and no good bye." She dosen't deserve goodbye or a last kiss or anything. He regrets nothing about not giving her a goodbye. Fallacy means fantasy, so this means she's somehow getting happiness and freedom from something...Hm... "Here you stand seething with guilt. Silence only justifies this act of cowardice." What I said about it in the first paragraph. "With a short story, The one you add to daily, You are the tragic loss. No story book ending for the fairy tale of you. Just the one composed with blood taken from your pen that you hold in your lifeless hand. Cry for you. Shed tears, mourn. Wish the end. Cry for you. Shed tears, mourn. Wish the end. Mourn, wish, the end. mourn, wish, the end. mourn, wish, the end." He knows there will be no happy ending for her in this 'story.' And the story she's writing, could either mean she's writing a suicide note...Or that the story is very dark and dismal. Or both...That it ends in suicide. "Nothing here has changed Maybe you should go and find Someone else to blame 'Cause you are gonna be sorry when I'm dead" These lines are saying, suicide has crossed my mind and now you really need to back off because you're gonna feel sorry that you caused me to kill myself. I can't believe no one has commented on this song. This song seems to be a sort of a paralell, meaning that the first stanza goes with the third, and the second goes with the fourth. I think this song is either about a person who is torn between wanting love, but hating it at the same time, or two people, in which one person wants love and the other wants to hate it. I Love this song. It is a lyrically beautiful song. The emotions portrayed in the way it is sung are heavy, and it is also sung beautifully. It means a lot to me b/c I am im a similar situation with my boyfriend. I'm going to refer to the girl singing this song as Autumn, because it is titled Autumn's Monologue. "Oh why cant I be what you need a new improved version of me but i'm nothing so good no i'm nothing just bones, a lonely ghost burning down songs of violence of love and of sorrow i beg for just one more tomorrow where you hold me down fold me in deep deep deep in the heart of your sins" Autumn wants this person to love her. She would do anything for this person. She thinks the reason why the person won't care for her is because of herself. Autumn refers to herself as being nothing, nothing important to the person and therefore nothing important to herself. She wishes to be better so the person will love her as much as she loves this person. "I break in two over you I break in two And each piece of me dies And only you can give the breath of life But you dont see me, you dont..." Autumn feels ignored by this person, and her heart is in sense, breaking in two over and over again and one of the pieces dies everytime. Only he can make it better but he dosnt really notice, or cares. "here i'm in between darkness and light bleached and blinded by these nights where im tossing and tortured til dawn by you, visions of you then youre gone the shock lifts the red from my face when i hear someone's taking my place how could love be so thoughtless, so cruel when all, all that i did was for you" Wow, these lines are amazing. Autumn can't sleep at night because shes thinking of this person constantly. She is becoming obsessed with this person. Then, she realizes that the person she loves is in love with someone else, hereby, taking her place.
