It is a stupid ritual. But it works. First time I encountered this line of thinking, I found it abusrdly ridiculous. The "think posistive!" cliche has always irritated me to no end. Bastard idiots that thinks everything will be alright just because they repeat silly words to themselves? Argh. But you know, if you don't encourage yourself, who will? Hope for tomorrow is very important to most people. You need something to go on, to get the energy to fight for what you really care about. When you lack hope you easily fall into darkness. Everybody who have been depressed knows what kind of darkness I talk about. So called inner motivation is a huge component to happiness. If you don't have much of it, you must train yourself. Telling yourself positive things is a good start. I am happy. I have friends. I do meaningfull stuff. Whatever works for you, like he says in the song: "don’t follow me because I am not you answer" which means to me that you need to find what works for you. Not to copy someone elses way verbatim. I love this song. When he yells "I AM NOT AFRAAAAID" I kind of forget all my greifs and troubles. It makes me want to yell too. YAAAAAH! |

"This explosion is one of the most beautiful sights ever seen by man." That quote is terrifying. Ultimate annhiliation is something to be proud of? Revolting. |

| Nice one this. I feel it is bout something importat that is lost forever in the search of something with false value. | |
| Bad Religion – Sorrow Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I also relate this song to war, a bit like Egalitarian. When you start a war, what can you be sure of? Sorrow. It is the only guaranteed outcome, everything else might or might not come to pass. But there will be much sorrow. That you can be sure of. If only people whould stand up and do the right thing, there would be less wars. And much less sorrow. |

Wow, over 2000 comments. I like this catchy song. Not the best I've ever heard, I probalby won't remember it 20 yeears from now. But it's entertaining . It is even more entertaining to watch all americans go goggle eyed over the lyrics :) |

Hoplessness, depression, lack of motivation etc. The loss of sexdrive is just a scondary effect as I see it, as is obesity. To be clinical depressed is to lose the will to live. |

Helplessness and utter darkness. That was my feelings when I heard this song the first time. I was battling serious depression at the time, and music was a great help. While I do think Czar5000 do have a very valid point, this song will always mean darkness, uncerntanity and doubt of my self. It is not a bad thing though, as it do give me great strength whenever I listen to it. It helps me see beoynd despair. "Tell me what to do so I do nothing wrong Something I can hope for, something real that I can see So nothing falls apart, so this does not end. I cannot return, I can't start again" That part touched me deep, and I will never forget that part. And you are right Zombie Pin-Up, it is "guide" not "die" on line four. |

| VNV Nation – Entropy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I concure with Mikenno, it is very fiercely sung indeed. Righteous indignation, maybe rage turned into determination. Something like that. Where does the rage come from then? I'm not sure, but some great injustice it seems. Not just one person, but many. Maybe all people in a sense. | |

Nazis? Naah, I think not. Whatever gave you that idea, Zycloned_Leviathan? I think, as in my opinion, that chrome is technology. Cars if you like. But I admit that I find the money interpretation interesting. Very nice song anyway :) |
