Father John Misty – Funtimes in Babylon Lyrics 13 years ago
I believe what he's trying to say is:

"Oh daddy dear you're still number one,
but girls - they wanna have fu-uun,
oh girls just wanna have fun."

But seriously, he just wants to get crazy weird before it's too late.

Simple Plan – Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?) Lyrics 18 years ago
Simple Plan doesn't suck because of differences in people's opinions, as you might suggest. They suck because they are cliché, repetitive, and seem to be very frightened to do as much as look in a thesaurus to find new WORDS for their songs. Synonyms can make the worst lyricist ever seem respectable. Even the line "how could this happen to me" REEKS of an uninspired, conventional, mediocre songwriter. This is supposed to be a form of art buddy, not some sob fest for people who claim to like music. You might as well just read their songs like dialogue to a Michael Bay film. I suggest that both you and simple plan start studying music theory and history in general, maybe both of you will realize how far off the point you are. And DONT argue a difference of opinions. Believe it or not, there is a thin line somewhere that separates good from SUCK.

Mr. Bungle – Goodbye Sober Day Lyrics 19 years ago
i think the song is about being mad at people who say that every damn song is about drug use. halfway thru are sarcastic comments to the critics:"pin my ear to the wisdom post, lift the veil..."

Mr. Bungle – Retrovertigo Lyrics 20 years ago
Man, Patton didnt even write this, Dunn did. Wow.

Anyway, it seems to me that with the lines "my art imitates crime", "cheap imitation", and "All the fame is implied", this song is about plaigurism and musicians/people that steal ideas and use other peoples material.

just my interpretation.
