| Moneen – The Day No One Needed to Know Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yeah, I think it is referring to the New Orleans disaster and the U.S. gov'ts failure to assist as they should have. Because of the ongoing war in Iraq the equipment needed was overseas. The less then sacred referred to in the song to me symbolize the minority groups that took the blunt of the disaster... If this had of been a mainly white middle/upper class area i highly doubt we would have seen the same devastation. Instead of being treated like fellow human beings many were treated as criminals as they tried to gather supplies needed to save their own lives... sad.. very sad. Great song tho! and yeah.. we all really need to learn to sing out for those people who cant.. sing out for our rights and freedoms ... that would be my two cents :) | |

FROM YESTERDAY He’s a stranger to some And a vision to none He can never get enough, Get enough of the one For a fortune he'd quit But it’s hard to admit How it ends and begins On his face is a map of the world (A map of the world) On his face is a map of the world (A map of the world) From yesterday, it’s coming! From yesterday, the fear! From yesterday, it calls him But he doesn't want to read the message here On a mountain he sits, its not of gold but of shit through the blood he can learn, see the lives that he took From a council of one He'll decide when he's done with the innocent On his face is a map of the world (A map of the world) On his face is a map of the world (A map of the world) From yesterday, it’s coming! From yesterday, the fear! From yesterday, it calls him But he doesn't want to read the message he doesn't want to read the message He doesn't want to read the message here On his face is a map of the world From yesterday, it’s coming! From yesterday, the fear! From yesterday, it calls him But he doesn't want to read the message here From yesterday, From yesterday, From yesterday, the fear From yesterday, From yesterday But he doesn't want to read the message He doesnt want to read the message he doesn't want to read the message here There, the correct lyrics :D |

well.. i'm pretty sure i've got the correct lyrics to that particular part: On a mountain he sits, its not of gold but of shit through the blood he can learn, see the lives that he took From a council of one He'll decide when he's done with the innocent I thought it was pretty clear in the song.. oh well. The song made me think of George W to be honest... ;) But yeah.. quite fitting looking at it from the perspective of a soldier. |
