It could be the Japanese word 'dozo', though (there's another Japanese word in the song too: 'sugoi'). 'Dozo' is kind of a complicated word, but it basically means 'please' as in 'please go ahead and.." But obviously the song is about sex! The entire first verse is about making a woman cum! |

| I think the specifics, like violins and markets, can be disregarded, as they're just tools used to paint a picture. The song to me seems to be about two people who see beauty and joy in the world if they are able to "close their eyes" and ignore the people who see the world as an ugly, dark place. And then these people find each other, and they can share in that beauty together. Definitely a love story (though not necesarily romantic, I can see this being about friendship as well). | |

As annoying as it is that she's talking about not being rich, and also that she ripped off a song from a fabulous musical.. the most annoying thing about this song is the complete lack of knowledge of grammar! The correct phrase, as anyone who paid attention in English class would know, is "If I WERE a rich girl." The way she says it just sounds lazy and ugly. Too bad it's such a catchy tune though.. |

| I disagree with most of the people who have posted on this song. Because of certain lines in the song and personal experiences with situations like this, I think it's less about someone who cheats on her lover, and instead about a girl who is polyamorous. The end result is the same of course - pain for the one who feels jealous. But it seems to me like the girl in the song is someone who's open and honest about not being in love with just one guy. | |
