incredible song off Modern Guilt. While the melody and rythm are similar to songs like "black tambourine" and "nasuea", the arrangement and electronic instrumentation of "youthless" are far more dynamic. Lyrically, there is such continuity on this album, a very subtle politcal/socail critique of late capitalism, fittingly drowned out by the mechanic sounds of the information age. |

This is an amazing song, so beautiful. I agree with alot of the things everyone has said, but i interpret this differently. I think Trey is saying that everything is a waste of time besides the girl in this song. He goes through a lot of different lives; actor, painter, writer, outlaw and so on. He says that all of these things are a waste of time and life is meaningless without his true love. |

this is an easy song to listen to and the album will do well but i miss the more interesting music from jack! lyrics are pretty self explanitory, and great little song, but i hope hell go back to where he started |
